I spend a lot of time watching movies in my outdoor spa. I'm not going too far with that, but believe me it's the best place to watch TCM's 31-day Oscar movies. Of course, his fingers will be clipped and I will no longer be able to open my iDevices with my fingerprint because basically I no longer have fingerprints, but I am floating in the middle of 10,000 bubbles without pressure points; It's wonderful and I can stay still for hours and watch a movie. I've seen dozens of movies this way. But I am going astray.
I listen with the closed-ear Bluetooth headphones to hear the sound of water jets and bubbles. They are fine until I fall asleep and immerse my head in water, which does not ruin the waterproof headphones. A pair of Bose and a pair of rhythms bit the dust in this way, a rather expensive lesson. So I opted for waterproof "sports" headphones, but they didn't block much noise.
The idea of a noise canceling headset came to my mind, but the risk of a "Quiet Comfort" headset for $ 200 to $ 300 at the spa was out of my price range. So I scanned Amazon and found this affordable and well tested headset with active noise cancellation. A day later I went to the spa with them ... and they are great!
They quickly paired with my bluetooth transmitter on the TV and I was able to upload them quite loudly and hear great sound. Yes, the sound of the spa was still quite strong, but I attributed it to bone conduction because I was 95% immersed in the turbulent water. By way of comparison, I removed a hearing aid and discovered that the noise from the spa was at least somewhat muffled by the seal around the ear. It's not a big noise cancellation, I thought, but it's fine.
I felt that the ANC switch turned it off to compare. THAN? Total silence except for the movie! A blue LED was now on. Well, duhhh, I turned off the ANC initially. In my defense, look at the image of the ANC switch ... it has the ANC label to the left of the switch and nothing to the right. I assumed (wrongly) that the ANC was on when the switch was left. No, to turn on the ANC, press the switch to the right and the blue LED will light. And you will have a wonderful background of silence! The noise cancellation worked as well as my David Clark pilot headphones (certainly 10 years old), which were considerably more expensive!
Then I am very happy. The sound is excellent and the noise reduction is ideal for my use. The best part? No, they are not waterproof, but they are economical. So the next time I fall asleep and immerse it, it will still be crap, but it's not that expensive!
